Hi Mandy, Central Cinema is setup as a Dinner-Theater with booth seat tables throughout the theater. There are waiters that will serve you at your table in the theater. Here is a link to the menus so that you can get an idea of the offerings and the pricing. https://www.central-cinema.com/menus
Yes. It's very kid-friendly.
Hi Elizabeth, the rental rates vary depending on the day and time. Please refer to our rental page for more info https://www.central-cinema.com/rentals
There are 120 seats in the theater. The lobby Cafe seats 20.
I dont believe its playing at this theater, perdy sure its playing at the seattle location tho.
Except hecklevision and sing alongs
It's in a residential neighborhood so there's street parking in the general area
Hi Tom, yes we have physical gift cards available at the theater. Come visit us and we'll load any amount you like on it.
I really love this movie theater. It's great to be able to see older movies, the food and drinks are good and the customer service is always amazing! No complaints here.
I work at the central Cinema so i maybe a bit biased but, i love this place! Its simple, community, and passion driven Mom and Pop business, that brings people together. You can vome here to simply watch a movie, or enjoy a drink in the cafe space! Or watch movie and drink and eat at the same time!!! How many places can still say that now a days? Honestly! Not many! Its important for our social culture to keep going to our local theaters to enjoy our historical entertainment :) for fun for fun!!
Awesome little neighborhood theatre that shows a variety of older and less mainstream films. Tasty food and good cocktails, amazing friendly people working here, great indie vibe, really one of my favorite places in the neighborhood.
Movie Cat Trivia is super fun! Brian and Jess were really funny and cool. Come to Central Cinema for showings of the Room, but make sure to bring some spoons!
This was a great theatre. Granddaughter and I had fun seeing Totoro here.
Cool theater that plays old movies. I liked that there was an intermission.
Theater that shows great movies, host trivia nights and other fun events. They are an active participant in the community and the crowd there is typically fun. It is a great group of people to watch a movie with! Food and drinks are reasonably priced, I usually get some fries and a beer and am very happy!
Love when Map Theatre holds events here! And now they do matinees too. Friendly wait staff and good food and drinks. Definite win for friends or a casual date.
Great food and classic films for a great price. The interior is really comfy and the staff/service has always been prompt and courteous. This has become my go to place to seeing movies in Seattle.
I love coming here, the food is great and the service staff are awesome. They make some of the best pizza around, would make you wish it was delivery. And the atmosphere here is amazing, my new hang out spot.
I have to admit, I hadn't even heard of this place before a work outing that brought me here. They really ought to advertise more... what a great concept! We all had a blast, and the food/beer was pretty good. I'd love to come back for a trivia night, it looks like a great venue for it.
Neat place! We saw Blade Runner at a special showing, and the space was great - intimate, comfy, etc. The food was delicious, too - we got a bottle of wine, popcorn with butter, olives, and a creme brulee. I loved that they had an intermission a.k.a. a well-timed bathroom break. :)
Best place to heckle a movie in the world!
This theater is great for old movies. The theater itself is a pretty good size and the food selection is good. The cost of the tickets are usually around 5 dollars a ticket which is not bad. The sound is really good and they even have intermission which personally I miss in normal movie theaters. I highly recommend this place.
Tasty food. Lovely to kick back with a beer and watch a show. Cartoon Happy Hour on Thursdays (5-7:30pm) is a huge hit with families. 💖
We're had great food (gnocchi and peas, philly cheese steaks) and drinks and enjoyed some hard to find movies. The wait staff was attentive and fun. The seating was comfortable. We will definitely be back. You should go too!
My favourite place to see a movie! Get here!!
I love the quirky movie selections and fun vibe of this place! Been several times, and it's a definite favorite. Small venue, so sometimes service is slow, but staff always are really nice. Great happy hour prices, decent food, pretty comfy seating. Draft beer, coffee, cider, wine, cocktails, soft drinks -- literally something for everyone. Get there early for the best spots!
Cozy, great for friendly gatherings or smaller groups. The menu and drinks are terrific, and the staff is too! Vegan/ dietary requirements aren't a problem, either. Can't wait to go again!
Nice local theater, table service during movies, good snacks and drinks
Had a blast at the Labyrinth Sing-Along/Bowie Trivia night! My kiddo won the costume contest!
It's a small theater, but it helps with the personal touch. And the screen is plenty big and adio plenty strong!
Awesome date night location. Full menu with beer, wine, cocktails brought to your seat. Lots of classic films.
Not your normal theater! Very clean, incredibly friendly staff, and above average foods and drinks. Everything has a fresh localKind of flare and still simple enough for a movie. Vegan options, custom drinks that are film specific, wide assortment of snacks and entrees. Excellent place for a date night or dinner and movie all in one! Cheap ticket prices as well and food and drinks on par and below what id expect at a theater. Service was also awesome! Only little gripe is while I love the seating setup I wish I could recline, or have the option to move from only upright position. Cinnebarre while corporate and cheesy has ideal seating for dinner and movie. This place hands down way better overall and love the cool theme nights and old school movie offerings!
Great little cinema. I can only eat their pizza (which is good, but would be better if their pizza cutter worked,) but I love their drinks. The Pacific Breeze is to die for!
Absolutely top tier. Seattle has no idea how good they have it with Central Cinema. The personal touch from management/ownership, delicious and broad menu, and casual atmosphere make a terrific contrast to Drafthouse viewing. We saw Re-Animator here and as they were showing a movie attendees were obviously already familiar with, there was room for quiet comments & laughs among friends. This showing was essentially a highly curated living room experience with delicious food (get those fried risotto bites you won't regret it) and a great classic film. 11/10, can't wait to go back
Awesome little encore movie theater in Central District. The staff are friendly, the food and drinks are great, and you can't beat the price of tickets. Can't wait to come back!
An exclusive cozy experience watching classics
Love this place. Good food and movies. Never a dull time here.
Really chill theater. Friend rented out a room and it was really fun. Food was reasonably priced.
Everything you could want from a theater that shows one movie at a time (only one screen). They show classics! I just watched Casablanca. And that have good food options for a theater, far beyond what you might normally expect (think Cinemark). The seating is not fancy with recliner chairs, but that would not go with the aesthetic and ambiance of this theater. It's homey and lovely. Can't wait to go back!
I've never actually gone to a show here but I always want to and the overlords within the internet insist that I've been here so perhaps I had a blackout and did, in fact, go to central cinnamon. Yes, that seems likely. My bouts of amnesia have been out of hand lately! These blackouts are not due to the ingestion of foreign substances as some may think, but due to certain sinister alignments I cannot quantify. Nonetheless, I think I would have liked it here, so five stars all the way to the dark dark moon.
Amazing movie selection and viewing experience! Good selection of alcohol. The food is generally okay, it's not terribly high quality and a little pricey for what it is. Their popcorn is great though - which is what really matters!
This is a great place to watch movies and other events that would need a movie house/theater feel. The theater offers fewer seats which creates a better viewing environment. The popcorn and snacks are very good and fresh. This movie house is cleaner than the other, smells good, and the air conditioner is so cold. Thank you very much!
It’s a movie theater where you can order meals and drinks! There are vegan options. I’m not sure what the capacity of the theater is like. Maybe it can hold up to 50 people or so. It’s not uncommon for a show to sell out. It’s a great place to go on a date or with a group of friends. Or solo, if you’re into that. Sometimes there are even fun events at this place. The 80s sing-along was quite memorable. ;)
Semi comfortable booth seating, very friendly staff, good movies. You can eat dinner here if you want, there's beer, soda, popcorn, pizza, burger etc. It's a little difficult to eat during the movie as it's very dark in front of you. I'm excited to go back !
This theater is so much fun. The food is decent and not too expensive. But the servers are great and the movies are always fun
I had reached a crossroads. Did I want to go to the regular theater, see a modern mess? No. I wanted class and comfort. Enter the Central Cinema. The booth-style eatery seating allowed me to relax while a movie from my youth, UHF, played big and loud. I enjoyed it so much I stayed for the second, a personal favorite in Big Trouble in Little China. Then I came back months later to see Killer Klowns from Outer Space, a true example of cinema. Food's tasty, the drinks are strong, and the movies are projected with professionalism. It's always a struggle to park, but I won't hold that against them.
So far been here once and plan to go again! Food is a little over priced for what it is but they do cheap movies so they gotta make some money somewhere. Hahah that being said, don’t order the cheese bread because it was like 4 small pieces for 8-9 dollars. Weird sized booths so seating got full fast and hard to save seats if your whole team isn’t there so be aware. Great atmosphere though and who doesn’t love drinking a beer and watching a classic! Will definitely go again when I see a flick I want to see there!
Awesome indie theater. Great food too! Wonderful selection of new and old movies. Yum! Try the cardamom soda and the fancy grilled cheese :)
Neighborhood cinema and dinner rolled into one. Eclectic movie menu.
Fun times, every time! Food, booze, desserts, fancy popcorn, vending machine, soft seats, tables, and a John Waters introduction to every film <3
Finally made it to a screening of The Room here.I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time!Love this place, the table service during the movie, the delicious food and drinks, and the fellow The Room fans shouting out the lines and throwing compostable spoons at the screen by the handful.Highly recommend.
I love this cinema! It provides such a private and cozy space. Watching a movie here is like being in a home theater. This cinema is such a great pick over the one downtown. Whether you want a date night or a family night, you can expect a good time. The prices are great also. I mean a drink and popcorn for 6-7 dollars, you can’t beat that. I viewed Tim Burton’s Batman for my first time here. I’ll definitely be back. It’s tucked away but the cleanliness and decorations are beyond standards. It’s the perfect place to go.
Nice place, great atmosphere and awesome service. I wasn't sure how people would behave, but they were quiet (or even quieter) than a regular cinema. The "vintage" trailers and short features before the movie were a nice addition too.
Honestly loved my first experience here. They were packed but service was still very hospitable and as fast as possible. Really loved their popcorn. I can see why it's my friends favorite place.
Great selection if what they are showing suits your fancy. Good food and atmosphere to boot.
Awesome venue to see rad weird movies. They have really fun interactive The Room screenings. You can order food and drinks at your private seats
We are so lucky to have this incredible treasure in our own neighborhood. We've been a dozen or so times and always have a great time. From Princess Bride to The Big Lebowski to Stand By Me to Sixteen Candles it's always a good time. The food isn't amazing but it's good and the booze selections are decent. Go!
What a great cinema. Fun times.
